Our Club, Our Community

Over the years, our club has been at the front of the pack participating in community events such as the Big Dog Parade, Santa Barbara’s Christmas parade and the Fourth of July Parade.   We have also volunteered our services for D.A.W.G., special Elings Park events, the Therapeutic Riding Academy, the Goleta Rotary Club, and Ventura’s Pooch Parade.

In the not-too-distant past, we supported our UCSB Gauchos performing Flyball demonstrations at half-time in the Thunderdome.  We strutted our stuff for the fans of the Globetrotters at the Los Angeles Staples Center! Year after year, we are invited back to retirement homes where we put on demonstrations of our Agility talent.  These “shows” are always followed by a hands-on pet therapy session with our dogs. We have even performed at the Los Angeles County Fair, at private birthday parties, and even at lovely Montecito garden parties.

Our latest event was hosting our first USDAA Agility Trial right here in Santa Barbara at beautiful Elings Park on Aug 14 and 15. Over one hundred dogs participated, and a great time was had by all. We have already re-booked the park for next year’s “Dog Days of Summer” Agility event, so make your plans now to attend and continue to check this site for the USDAA Agility premium.
