Our Club, Our
Community
We, at the Santa Barbara Flyers, L-O-V-E to play with our dogs! Whether
it's doing silly pet tricks, or competing in the challenging sport of
Agility, the turbo-charged and thrilling game of Flyball, or even the
calm and controlled exercise of Obedience. No matter what sport we do,
there's nothing we enjoy more than sharing our enthusiasm, the company
of our dogs and promoting responsible dog ownership within our
community.
Historically, our club has been at the front of the pack participating
in community events such as the Big Dog Parade, where we've many times
won top prizes for costumes and theme. We have also participated in the
Santa Barbara City Christmas Parade and the 4th of July Parade and
provided entertainment for local charities such as D.A.W.G., Elings
Park, The Therapeutic Riding Academy
and Goleta Rotary Club.
We have supported our UCSB Gauchos many times performing Flyball at
half-time in the Thunderdome and have strutted our stuff for the fans
of the Globetrotters down at LA's Staples Center! We are asked year
after year to come back to retirement homes and homes for the disabled
where we put on demonstrations of Agility and Flyball followed by a
hands-on pet therapy session. We have even
performed at the L.A. County Fair, private birthday parties and
exquisite Montecito garden parties.
So, if you L-O-V-E dogs and you would enjoy watching them do amazing
things, then we would love to spend time with you.
